Percussionist Justin G. Jones grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico surrounded by Mariachi and the music of African immigrants. He came of age in California, learning the language of Latin jazz from local percussion masters.

Justin earned a degree in percussion performance with Hollywood studio veteran Kenny Watson, and studied in Los Angeles with Ray Charles's drummer Paul Kreibich. He was co-leader of the popular local Latin group Son del Llano, and has been a integral member of many national and local groups. Featuring the sublime talents of Ed Love, Tom Harvill, and Bobby Scharmann, the Justin G. Jones Latin Jazz Group will delve the historical currents between the worlds of jazz and Latin music. They unpack improvisational intensity and pervasive groove.

Boiler Grand Hall is located on the third floor of the Grand Manse building at 129 North 10th Street in downtown Lincoln, NE. Enter through the northeast doors and go through the second set of double doors. Take the elevator to the third floor and you've arrived! Show starts at 8 pm.
